A New Way to Combat Cat Allergies
As the weather gets colder and we spend more time indoors, we thought it worthwhile to mention a post we published last Fall called Cat Allergies: Nothing to Sneeze At where we talked about symptoms, causes and tips to prevent and lessen allergic incidents.
Recall, a cat allergy generally stems from a person’s particular sensitivity to cat dander – the skin cells that shed through the cat’s fur. This sensitivity to cat dander can range from minimal – resulting in coughing, watery eyes, sneezing, and itching – to severe – resulting in everything from swelling to shortness of breath.
In fact, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology estimates that 10 percent of people are allergic to household pets, with cat allergies being twice as common as dog allergies. They estimate that one in seven children between the ages of 6 to 19 prove to be allergic to cats.
We were delighted to recently come across a product called NasalGuard that was originally developed with the intention of finding a simple, drug-free solution for preventing airborne allergens like pollen, pet dander and dust mites, from entering the nasal passages.
NasalGuard uses electrostatic technology to create an invisible filter around the outside of your nasal passages. With a mild electrostatic charge, this topical gel reduces inhalation of particles as small as rhinovirus, pet dander, or pollen, along with many other pollutants and airborne contaminants.
A pin-sized drop or two of NasalGuard restricts thousands of fine and ultrafine particles from entering your system for up to six hours by either attracting the particles to stick to the gel rather than being inhaled, or by repelling the particles away from your nose in the first place. NasalGuard is drug-free and lasts up to 150 applications.
NasalGuard licenses the patented Airborne Particle Blocker formula from a leader in particle-blocking electrostatic technology since 1995. This technology has been used in various products all over the world with over 12 million tubes sold to date with no reports of adverse effects, and plenty of devoted fans who rave about the convenient application and reduction in symptoms related to breathing in harmful particles.
We tried NasalGuard at our own home with 3 different friends as ‘test subjects’ all of whom are allergic to cats to various degrees. The results were impressive and all of them were surprised (and somewhat shocked) at its effectiveness. Quite simply, it works! Oh, and we’re thrilled that it’s drug free! >^..^<
Curious to try it for yourself? Why not enter our contest where we’re giving away 5 NasalGuard tubes to five lucky Purrington Post readers.
