It’s bluebonnet season in Central Texas! Snapping a photo in the fragrant fields is a Texas tradition–and one that includes ALL the members of the family, both two- and four-legged.

Getting a classic bluebonnet shot means photographing your dog either in the middle of, in front of, or behind a bluebonnet field…

Cloudy days are great if you won’t be including the sky!

This year we had a large bluebonnet field at home near our pumphouse; the fragrance carries with each gust of wind. For the past several years, we’ve shot bluebonnet photos on a nearby rural road. This year, that field had too many memories to return…but I’ll always love the special photos we took in that field!
